Born in Tokyo on February 2nd, 1974, Mr. Shikano graduated Tama Art University and experienced a variety of occupations before starting his career as a professional photographer. While engaging in advertisement and magazines etc., Mr. Shikano visited Beijing approximately 20 times. Mr. Shikano has also been working on a documentary of Mt. Minobu and Mt. Shichimen in Yamanashi Prefecture which were opened as sacred mountains during Kamakura Period. His major exhibitions include “Restoring Five-Storied Pagoda at Mt. Minobu Kuonji Temple” (Canon Gallery), and “Beijingscape” (epSITE Gallery). His photography books include “Restoring Five-Storied Pagoda at Mt. Minobu Kuonji Temple” (Heibonsha Limited, Publishers).
