I have been taking a variety of subjects, and what I have always valued is rendering of the atmosphere. I always take photographs wishing to capture and seal the atmosphere of the location in the images. However, after changing to digital cameras, and until I encountered the X3 direct image sensor, there were often times when I had trouble with rendering which appears to be planar. By using the SD1, I was able to feel the astonishing rendering of the atmosphere and stereoscopic effect. Cameras are always tools to express my feelings. However, I think that because they are tools, they must deliver what I want to express perfectly. Although post processing is often necessary to fulfill the images potential, the SD1 will surely be my best tool.

A flower is inside a glass. Lights coming from the window are soft but very subtle. However, the SD1 certainly communicates the atmosphere. It enables great rendering by giving a stereoscopic effect to the souvenir umbrella in the background.
